September 20, 2017, Beijing – Today, at BICES, LiuGong held a ceremony to kick off its 60th Anniversary celebration. Started in 1958, LiuGong’s powerful heritage is one of the keys to its success today. The ceremony included the introducation of its commemorative logo and anniversary machines, which will be available in limited edition to customers. The event was attended by leaders of Chinese construction machinery associations, former leaders of LiuGong, current leaders, important customers and guests.

LiuGong started from scratch in Liuzhou, Guangxi, PRC and has survived great challenges to find itself on the cusp of becoming a genuine, premium global brand. The 60 years of LiuGong’s history have been marked by adversity, from the very earliest days when fire destroyed the original factory to more recent times when the global financial crisis changed the face of the industry. More than that, though, LiuGong’s history is marked by determination, passion, drive and a firm belief in our future.

During its history, LiuGong has experienced the boom times in the industry and also witnessed the most difficult periods and weathered the industry downturns. Despite the tough times, LiuGong has always remained confident and has stuck to its global market strategy with smart thinking and a long-term strategic goals. It has always worked hard on improving the quality of its products, delivering innovation and concentrating on its distribution network, service and support offerings.

LiuGong started as a small company making one product for the domestic market. Today, it is in markets across the globe, manufacturing a wide range of equipment and developing world-first products. It has steadily grown from a local factory in a small city in China’s southwest region to major player in the global arena.

Today, LiuGong has 15 product lines. It supports its global product lines with a rapidly growing network of 235 dealers across six continents in more than 100 countries. Supporting the dealer network are 12 regional offices with engineering, marketing and service support, coupled with 9 regional parts depots located strategically throughout the world which ensure rapid replacement of parts and the servicing of equipment. LiuGong runs 20 manufacturing facilities globally and five world class R&D centers. It has a team of nearly 8,000 employees, including 1,000 engineers, standing behind every machine the company makes.

LiuGong is here because of the people: its leaders, its employees, partners, dealers, suppliers and of course its customers, who have all made enormous contributions to its suscces.

The machines shown at BICES demonstrate the great advancement LiuGong has made and also show its confidence and determination for tomorrow.

In 2017, LiuGong produced its 350,000th wheel loader since launching China’s first modernized wheel loader, Z435, in 1966 and in 2018 LiuGong will celebrate its 60th anniversary; LiuGong has come a long way in 60 years but there is still more to achieve through being strategic, thinking long term and always listening to our customers. Now LiuGong is looking to its next 60 years.
